          Die Studierenden beobachten die Bewegung des Foucaultschen Pendels, um die Rotation der Erde zu beweisen.

                  to think critically and creatively:  Foucault's pendulum was a highly innovative experiment for its time, based on apparent movement. It is an ideal exhibit for students to learn the idea of thinking out of the box.

                  conceptual knowledge:  Students get acquainted with fundamental principals such as circular motion and conservation of mechanical energy.

                  to respond and participate:  Students are involved in the process of questioning and testing what they witness with their own eyes. They are encouraged to come up with an alternative explanation of their own.

                  Psycomotor
                  to perform independently, skilfully and precisely:  Students learn to use PDA applications and perform small but accurate scientific measurements with the use of an exhibit. They learn to use these measurements to produce valid results and conclusions.
